Days of Reflection/Retreat
Youthtowne plays host to a wide variety of programs throughout the year. Many of our sponsored schools come for Days of Reflection or Days of Retreat at the Youthtowne Barn. The barn provides their base of operations for the day, but most groups also include nature hikes, quiet meditation walks or simply moving outside to enjoy the beautiful property of Youthtowne. |

Nature/Science Retreats
Our sponsored schools come for science or nature days of retreat. During such programs, groups will conduct hikes on our trails or in the woods, collecting a wide variety of nature artifacts or observing nature. They will sometimes gather around the lakes to learn what they can from the variety of biology that exists in our spring-fed lakes. |

Recreation and Creative Activities
Some school outings build in recreational time and make use of our many athletic fields. Occasionally students are invited to bring fishing equipment and are provided time to fish on our two lakes. Other school outings plan creative outside activities of their own such as scavenger hunts, relay races and creative intramural games. |

Fundraisers
Some of our sponsored schools hold fundraisers at Youthtowne. One popular outing is the school Fun Run/Walk. At these events students complete counted laps on a measured course and raise money for their school through sponsored pledges from friends and family members. This is a fun and healthy way to do something beneficial for their schools. |

Hayrides and Campfires
A fall favorite is the trip to Youthtowne for a hayride and campfire. Students of all ages enjoy a relaxing ride across the scenic property of Youthtowne, followed by roasting marshmallows and cooking hot dogs at a campfire. Of course most of these gatherings include campfire songs and stories told around the fire. |

Summer Camps
Youthtowne is home to Summer Camps offered to area youth, home-schooled youth and youth from our sponsored schools. Summer camps usually run Monday through Friday and feature new and exciting themes each year. |

Special Events
Youthtowne has played host to a number of special events including school reunions, ultimate Frisbee tournaments, barn dances, school welcome picnics, sled riding, kite flying and tent camping. |
